🢂 Rome has SPQR written on his back. It's distorted by numerous scars covering it. It's hard to tell if it's a tattoo or a scar. It's not like a typical slave marking/brand, though.

🢂 Thracia is a friend and underling of his. She an unconventional but good fighter. She takes more after Greece, but Rome doesn't really mind. Rome thinks she "hides her beauty". She feels at peace near rivers and has three birds that follow her around (they peck at Rome). The birds are Procne (swallow), Philomela (nightingale), and Tereus (hoopoe).

🢂 Dacia was a little punk, but now he is Rome's underling. He used to pick on Thracia a lot. Dacia is sometimes called Felix by Rome. Who knows if Rome calls him that out of irony or truth.

🢂 Rome was with Crassus during the Third Servile War. Crassus was his least favorite member of the First Triumvirate.

🢂 Rome liked Pompey, but Caeser eventually won him over in terms of favor far more.

🢂 Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece were in love before Ancient Rome was even founded. Ancient Egypt used to mentor Ancient Greece when they were younger.

🢂 Ancient Greece is the first love of his life. She used to tell him about Greek mythology when he was much smaller as bedtime stories. She is a refined, beautiful, and powerful nation. She is his underlying currently.

🢂 Ancient Egypt was the second love of his life. Rome helped Cleopatra meet Julius Caesar as a way to court her. He fell deeply in love with her while Caesar spent time in Egypt. It took Ancient Egypt longer to return his feelings.

🢂 He thinks Pontus is a real cutie! She may not be one of the loves of his life, but she holds a special place in his heart. She is currently an underling of his.

🢂 Etruria was the first strong nation Rome encountered after his founding. He believes Etruria tried "to kill him" as soon as they met "out of fear" because of Rome's potential. This is Rome's biased view as he has extremely mixed feelings about Etruria and a sense of betrayal. Etruria was the first nation Rome "killed"/destroyed. Fragments of Etruria live within him from their time spent together, good and bad.

🢂 Carthage was an "asshole" and Rome utterly destroyed him #noregrets.

🢂 Rome first met Mother Britannia with Julius Caesar. Rome encountered her with two children nations (Caledonia and Britannia). Mother Britannia died not long before Rome annexed the child Britannia. Rome had a part in her death, something Caledonia holds against him. Britannia is often picked on by Caledonia and his other siblings so Rome has to step in. He tried his best to protect the young Britannia. Rome doesn't think Britannia takes after him much, but there are subtle things. He bonds with the young Britannia with baths and large feasts.

🢂 Most of Rome's underlings actually are older than him or around the same age. Only a fraction of them were younger than him. His oldest underling was Mesopotamia. He fought with Persia over having Mesopotamia numerous times.

🢂 Rome felt compelled to take France as an underling because Germania kept scaring him. That's the excuse anyway.

🢂 As a young kingdom, he grew up feeling extremely lonely and feeling like everyone wanted to use him or kill him. It's shaped how he treats his underlings and provinces like a family no matter how dysfunctional it can get.

🢂 Ancient Greece helped raise him and watched him grow through several huge growth spurts.

🢂 Persia is one of his biggest rivals and enemies. They have a complicated history with each other and Persia has cockblocked him from trading and communicating with China easily and directly. Also Persia keeps stealing and harassing, in his view anyway, Mesopotamia (leave the old ass nation alone!!).
